Candidate Support & Political Activities
One of the most important political activities of Austin Republican Women (ARW) is working to elect Republican candidates to local, state and national public offices. We raise funds to donate to candidates and causes. We give hours of volunteer time working for Republican candidate campaigns and that is perhaps ARW’s greatest contribution.
Whether it’s volunteering to answer phones, send out mailers, block walk for candidates, work at special events, distribute campaign signs, or serve as a voter deputy registrar, ARW members turn out to support Republican candidates. Frequently, we run for office ourselves and that includes nonpartisan offices such as school board member.
Voter Deputy Registrar Volunteers – one way ARW members participate in the election process is to officially register eligible voters in the State of Texas. Once trained for this two-year term of service, Voter Deputy Registrars (VDR) distribute, assist with, review and accept completed voter registration applications. VDRs reach out to their neighbors, friends, civic organizations and communities at large to encourage all citizens to get registered to vote. Being registered to vote is the first step in our voting process.
If political advocacy is your interest, ARW invites you to JOIN US in helping Republican candidates win. Our goal is to KEEP TEXAS RED.
